Singapore, 8 October 2009 - NEC Asia, announced today the launch of 10 portable projectors - NP305, NP310, NP405, NP410, NP410W, NP510, NP510W, NP510WS, NP610, NP610S projectors, successors to the previous-generation of NP Portable Series. These new products are equipped with a rich set of green features that aim to minimize total cost of ownership (TCO) and are targeted for education and corporate users.

With up to 5000 hours of lamp life, NEC’s NP Portable Series projectors benefit from extended lifecycles. The projectors' new filter requires less maintenance and allows up to three times the existing filter life.

Additionally, their carbon savings meter calculates the positive effects of operating in ECO Mode, which is encouraged by an optional message upon the units' startup. The remote control includes an ECO Mode button, making the switch between settings easy for any user. The quick start (3 to 4 seconds) and immediate power off functions (no cooling after shut-down) ensure efficient energy usage. Various timer functions can help to assure that the projectors only run when they are actually in use. The power consumption in Eco and High Brightness Mode has been reduced significantly. In stand-by mode the projectors only consume 0.7W.

Apart from the improved technical features, usability plays a vital role. NEC’s Virtual Remote Software allows control of the projector directly from the computer via the VGA cable just like with a real remote control. This is particularly useful in the education area where projectors are ceiling mounted and remote controls happen to get displaced. The integrated LAN connectivity (not applicable for NP305 and NP405) makes it possible to centrally control and monitor multiple projectors.

“By including new features in the next generation NP Portable Series, we're able to increase the usability for our customers and enhance their cost savings,” said Vincent Koh, Vice President, Multimedia Business Unit at NEC Asia. “These new projectors offer improved total cost of ownership with a variety of eco-conscious technologies, as they were created with the environment in mind. Business and education users will favor those advanced features, not only for their long-term impact but also for their functionality in the present.”

A partial list of features of the NP Portable Series includes:

  • Native resolution of 1024x768 XGA for NP305/405/310/410/510/610S and 1280 x 800 WXGA for NP410W/510W/510WS
  • Contrast ratio of 2000:1 for NP310/410, 600:1 for NP610S/NP510WS, 450:1 for NP410W and 500:1 for NP305/NP405/NP510/510W/NP610
  • Up to 3500 lumens
  • Maximum Power consumption of only 294W
  • Up to 5000 hours of lamp life (in ECO Mode)
  • Low power consumption (0.7W in stand-by mode), which minimizes energy costs
  • Carbon savings meter calculates the positive effects of operating the projector in ECO Mode, which is encouraged by an optional message at startup
  • Green ECO Mode button on the remote control makes the switch between settings easy
  • Comprehensive input panel, which includes DVI-I w/ HDCP (except NP305/405), RCA, s-video and 15-pin
  • Integrated RJ45 connection, which enables quick and easy LAN connection (except for NP305/405)
  • Remote diagnostics, which enable the administrator to monitor and make adjustments to the projector via the network from a remote location
  • Quick start (3-4 seconds) and shutdown, which allow for immediate use and power off function without the need for a cooling period

The Sanwa USB Hub with 12 ports

Posted by ZeeMart | Making your life cheaper

Product Details

Although most people are perfectly capable of getting by with a small hub, there are times when the world could use one of these mega hubs.  Likely there are very few that would need this for their at home computer, but it still could be a very useful device.  Especially since it’s done in such a way that could make cable management a little easier.

Any device that helps prevent tangled cords is always nice.  Since this has the plugs in a circular area, it’s possible you could keep those cords from becoming too intertwined.  Each of the ports are numbered, which could also make it easier for you to organize all of your USB devices that you use regularly.  The 400-HUB009 is on sale in Japan, it’ll cost you about $54 to get yourself one.

The Phototherapy Hairbrush.

Posted by ZeeMart | Making your life cheaper in Thursday, October 29, 2009

Product Description

The new scientific technology has been designed to promote hair growth and improve hair structure. The HairPro utilizes Low Level Laser Light (LLLT), a compressed light of a wavelength from the cold, red part of the spectrum. Low Level Laser Light is different from natural light in that it is one precise color, it is coherent (it travels in a straight line), monochromatic (a single wavelength), and polarized (it concentrates it’s beam in a defined location or spot). These properties allow laser light to penetrate the surface of the skin with no heating effect, no damage to the skin and no known side effects. Rather, laser light directs biostimulative light energy to the body’s cells, which the cells then convert into chemical energy to promote healthy rejuvenation of hair.

Features:
  • Battery operated by 3 AA’ Batteries
  • Red LED Lights illuminate all bristles evenly
  • NO Display/Storage Stand
  • Push On/Push Off Illuminated Operations Buttons
  • Red for Laser
  • Orange for LED’s
  • Size: 8" x 1.75" w x 1.25" D

The LB01 consists of the ultra semi-conductor laser which was developed by NASA.

About Laser Phototherapy:

Laser PhotoTherapy for hair is a scientific discovery that uses the energy of laser light to nourish and revitalize your hair. Light is energy and living cells "like" and respond to light. Your hair is no different. The end result of using the HairPRO Laser Brush is that the appearance of your hair will flourish and you will feel good about your hair again. Up until recently, the availability of Laser PhotoTherapy treatment for hair was only made possible through visits to advanced hair clinics. The HairPRO Laser Brush offers the same level of Laser PhotoTherapy with a portable hand-held device that is affordable, convenient and easy to use.

How the HairPRO Laser Brush works:

The HairPRO Laser Brush harnesses the energizing and nourishing effects of Laser PhotoThereapy to make hair look healthy and vibrant. Light is energy. Living cells thrive in light and your hair is no different. The end result is that the appearance of your hair will improve and you will feel good about your hair again. The HairPRO Laser Brush features a wide beam laser transmitter. This allows the laser to transmit the entire length of the brush, for full scalp penetration. In addition 36 LED stimulators, using technology developed by NASA, massage and stimulate the scalp with light emitting diodes.

The Best Heated Gloves.

Posted by ZeeMart | Making your life cheaper

Product Description

These heated gloves were judged The Best by the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute because they kept panelists' hands the warmest without sacrificing comfort. The Best Gloves' 7-watt rechargeable Li-ion battery produces a maximum temperature of 148.9º F, more than 50º higher than lesser gloves powered by alkaline batteries. Ranked highest for comfort, the gloves' ultra-thin stainless steel wires heat the full length of fingers and the back of the hand, unlike other gloves that created hot and cold spots. Panelists lauded the gloves' fleece interior as "very soft, with no feeling of the wires" as opposed to lesser gloves that felt bulky and stiff. Other superior features include Thinsulate insulation that helps retain heat, a breathable membrane that keeps hands dry, and a leather palm for a confident grip. An adjustable wrist enclosure and a zippered cuff seal out snow and cold. The 4-oz. battery pack slips into a pocket on the cuff and adjusts to four power levels with just a touch. Heats for two to 10 hours on a full charge from the AC charger depending on power setting. Black. Sizes S, M, L, and XL.

There's nothing worse than trying to operate your bike with cold, numb fingers. Bulky, unheated gloves make things even tougher by reducing feel, reaction time and complicating operation of the controls. Firstgear's Warm & Safe heated gloves for men and women feature heating throughout the entire glove, while maintaining the thinness of a summer glove. The gloves plug directly into the jacket liner, or an optional separate wire harness, allowing riders to adjust the temperature of the gloves independently of the jacket with a Dual Heat-troller™.

  • DC-heated, produces 15 watts of heat at 12.8 Volts (each glove) and should be used with a Firstgear Heat-Troller™ for optimum safety
  • Grade-A, top-grain, drum-dyed cowhide construction
  • Porelle® breathable, waterproof membrane
  • Thinsulate layer
  • Pre-curved fingers and finger-mounted, rubber faceshield wiper
  • Elastic writst and adjustable hook-and-loop gauntlet closure
  • Reinforced protection in palm
  • Reflective piping on top

Timex Fingernail watch

Posted by ZeeMart | Making your life cheaper

Product Description

The size of various gadgets and devices is just growing smaller these days. Here is the latest device that has been reduced to the size of your fingernails. Timex and Core77 have collaborated to introduce one of the world's smallest watches. Believe it or not, this unique, wearable gadget is a disposable timepiece designed to mould to your fingernail. This miniature wearable gadget won Timex's 2154 The Future of Time Competition based on its innovative watch design. Since the nail watch has not been officially unveiled yet, there is not much information regarding its features and pricing. The display of this translucent watch includes the time, date, and AM/PM indictor, which appear in clear format until lit up. The watch becomes even more unique at night, as each design lights up in a different color when the tip of the fingernail watch is pressed. This watch will definitely be the smallest ever in the world to hit the markets.Get the Time on Your nails.

We have seen many different types of futuristic watches with strange shapes and design but none so unique as this. Now lets welcome the Nail watch, that can be worn on the thumb. You may have never seen a watch that can be worn on the thumb but times are going to change thanks to Timex. Timex, in collaboration with Core77, held a global design competition called 2154: the future of time design. So what we are seeing here is the TX54 concept which was a runner up there.

Thanks to a translucent body, the design blends seamlessly with the nail while a selection of text color options and a glow feature activating on command make it supremely functional as well. Press the end of your thumbnail, and the watch will light up for you. A perfect blend of appearance, user interface, and technology, the nail watch passes most standards of modern design with flying colors thanks to its functional and minimalist appeal. The watch looks stylish and chic and has a touch of Geeky style as well. The downside of this watch is that it is disposable. So with so many stylish watched being available now, it will be hard for it to survive in the market. Though it is quite innovative with a minimalist design, but it won't last long on your finger.

No details about the availability or the price of this watch has been released by Timex. But since it is tiny and disposable, I don't expect the price to be high.
